President's Club Winners

Congratulations to our 2013 President's Club winners!

Diane Lynsky, Quality Assurance and Clinical Services Manager, Quality Assurance

Wow, where to begin…Rock Climber.  Quality Expert.  Registered Nurse.  Mother.  Joint Commission Specialist.  Wife.  Coach and Trainer.  All of these terms and many more accurately describe this year’s corporate President’s Club winner, Diane Lynsky.

Diane joined Supplemental Health Care in December of 2001, first as a consultant, then as a part-time employee, and finally full-time in 2011.  We know her as a mentor and driving force behind our Joint Commission certification and a compliance pro – and there’s a reason she speaks with such authority, before joining us, Diane was a practicing nurse for almost 20 years with a primary focus in Emergency Department and Trauma!

Married to her High School sweetheart, Diane and Rick are celebrating their 30th anniversary in September.   They have two children, Ryan (24) who is a Holistic Health Practitioner; and daughter Cheyenne (20), a junior at Northwestern University.  And we can’t forget her 5 year old German Shepard, named “Mr. Enthusiastic.”  For anyone who knows Diane, we can only guess they are truly kindred spirits.

Rick Majors, Senior Market Manager, Phoenix Nursing

As last year’s Chairman’s Award winner and a five-time 100+ club winner, Rick has the honor of being a Triple Crown winner with this year’s President’s Club win.  Of course, it hasn’t always been easy for Rick.  When he joined us in 2006, he commuted 50 miles each way in a 1994 Saturn SL2, burning two quarts of oil for every tank of gas; all while earning $10 per hour and 3.5% GP.

As proud as he is of his success, he is prouder still of having Isaac King win back-to-back 100+ club awards.  According to Rick, “None of this happens without our team, in the office and throughout the region.”  Rick likes to lead by example – showing that success starts with a clean office.  Apparently he enjoys arriving early to the office, blaring some 80’s music, and doing some serious cleaning…Tom Cruise style.  Kind of gives a whole new meaning to this being a risky business!

Rick is married to SHC alum, Megan (Peterson) Majors.  They have two daughters, Carly Anne, age 12 and Olivia Quinn, 7 months.

Carrie Huff, Senior Division Manager, Travel Nursing

Joining Supplemental Health Care as a Recruiting Manager in August of 2003, Carrie is celebrating her third 100+ Club victory and her second President’s Club win.  Though Carrie enjoyed 47.8% YOY revenue growth and 67.7% operating income growth, she is not entirely satisfied.  “We just missed being a $10 million dollar division,” she said, adding “Next year we will be $10 Million!!!”  Jim, Janet, Cheryl – we have it in writing.

Given her team’s performance, it’s not surprising that Carrie is joined by three of her teammates this year:  Eric Simm, Eric Mrugacz and Randi Winkelman.  In fact, when listing those things she felt were the biggest factors in this year’s win, Carrie listed her dedicated and hardworking team and the support received from the recruiting coordinator model.

Carrie, who we hear is easily bribed with dark chocolate but not Chinese food or seafood (guessing she didn’t order the sea bass for the Awards Banquet) is married to her husband Lou Huff and they have two daughters: Lacy, age10 and Loren, age 9.

Ashley Arnold, Market Manager, Oklahoma City Allied

Ashley is the newest member among this year’s President’s Club inductees, having joined Supplemental Health Care in April of 2009 as a recruiter.  Prior to joining SHC, she spent three years as a Human Resource Manager at Kohl’s and a year with Robert Half.

In what was a tough year for the Allied segment as a whole, Ashley proved that leadership, a focused strategy, attention to detail and plenty of hard work can still be a game plan for success.   According to Ashley, “One of the major factors in our success was to really understand and manage the factors that contribute to operating income.  Combined with a strong team, it drove our win.”  Another major factor for her: diversification with school business, growing that business from $2,000 per week to $30,000 per week.  This is a woman who definitely got on the bus!

In her spare time, Ashley also finished her MBA from the University of Central Oklahoma and, along with Dolce, her 6 year old Maltese, moved to Houston to become Market Manager of that division, where we have no doubt we’ll see great things.
